6/25: not interested... kinda?

Myspace flirting. Random hook-ups. Blind dating. SPEED dating. Aren't we all sick of the whole let's-find-a-boyfriend, get married and have a million babies paradigm? Anyway, being single's the funnest!! Right? What kind of girl needs some dude in her life to fawn over? Alisha Martin reflects on dating disasters, past and present, as she ponders a possible future of eternal singlehood.

They're talking about me!!

I found this on the Game Show Network's message board! These people are talking about the episode of Chain Reaction that aired on Sat, 8/26, starring me and two of my friends:

"I was so excited when I saw Saturday's (8/26) show. Overall, the best episode I've seen so far (and I've only caught a few due to work/just plain not caring). Both teams played well, especially the ladies. The guys just ran into some hard luck. And folks, I was sooooo ecstatic to see Instant Reaction played by a team who knew what they were doing! Yeah, that whole "You doubled your money!" bulls*** by Dylan caused the girls to blow the 2 seconds they needed to get "The Simpsons" out before the buzzer for the triple, and in retrospect I'm kinda mad at that, but not really so much because I was just so damn happy to see SOMEBODY play the game well!"

AND

"We were SO CLOSE to seeing a triple tonight, and I believe the team would've had it had Dylan not startled them with his "YOU DOUBLED YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!", wasting a couple of precious seconds. "

YAY! Clips will be on the website as soon as I have them!

"The Good Girl"

See me in my one-person show:

The Good Girl
Written by & Starring Alisha Martin
Directed by Jen Nails
She was a good girl. Sheltered upbringing. Two ponies! Nice family. Then she moved to New York. She's kissing boys. Getting dragged to strip clubs. A "regular" at the bar near her apartment. A one night stand! Alisha Martin answers the question: what happens when a good girl turns into a merely SOMEWHAT good girl??

which will be followed by

Skeeger
Performing together for the last 18 months in venues all over Manhattan, Skeeger takes risks with their fearless blend of sociopolitical satire, broad slapstick, and other stuff so weird it can't be described with catchy buzzwords.

Show Dates:
February 6,13,20, 27 at 9:30pm

The PIT
154 W. 29th St (1 to 28th St.)
